Genesis 18:1-22:24

Abraham is visited by three angels.  They tell Abraham that Sarah will have a child, Sarah overhears and laughs.

Two angels travel to Sodom to destroy the city.  They save Abraham’s cousin Lot and his family.  They tell Lot to leave and never look back.  Lot’s wife looks back and turns into a pillar of salt.

Thinking they are the only people left in the world, Lot’s daughters get him drunk and lay with him.  Both become pregnant and have sons named Moab and Ammon.

Abraham and Sarah move to Gerar.  Abraham again tells that Sarah is his sister.  Sarah is wed to the King Avimelech.  Avimelech is visited by G-d in a dream, and it is revealed to him that Sarah is married to Abraham.   Sarah is freed and reunited with Abraham.  G-d remembers his promise to Sarah, and she becomes pregnant and has a son who they named Isaac.  Isaac is circumcised at 8 days old.

In another test from G-d, Abraham takes Isaac to be sacrificed on an alter on top of Mount Moriah.  Neither Isaac nor Abraham complains and as Isaac is tied down, an Angel appears and tells Abraham to stop, that it was a test, and directs him to a trapped ram to sacrifice instead.  Abraham keeps the ram’s horns for later use.
