Civilian Response to Active Shooter/Attack
“It’s Not a Matter of IF but WHEN, WHERE and HOW”
Increasing violence in public places has many of us looking for ways to cope and help others in these difficult times. Being prepared and knowing how to react to violence may save your life and those near you should such an event occur.
Flagstaff Community Safety is presenting two free trainings for all interested individuals 16 years and older to help them respond effectively and safely. We have partnered with the Flagstaff Police Department and Coconino County’s Sheriff’s Office to provide expert instruction.
The first training, Civilian Response to Active Shooter/Attack, gives individuals the information to respond during an active violence event. It will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2019 at the Double Tree on Route 66 from 6PM to 8:30PM.
Intro to Stop the Bleed Training
Intro to Stop the Bleed training helps equip community members with the vital medical skills that can save a life during one of these events. This training will prepare individuals to complete the hands-on portion of the training and be certified in “Stop the Bleed.” It will be held on Thursday November 14, 2019 also at the Double Tree from 6PM to 7:30PM.
This training will be held on Thursday, November 14. 2018 from 6PM-7:30PM
