Exodus 21:1-24:18
After the 10 commandments, G-d gives Moses more rules, series of laws, for Israel.
Laws pertaining to having an indentured servant, murder, kidnapping, assault, and theft. Laws for damage, loans, and for the conduct of Justice.
Laws about mistreating foreigners (don’t), observing festivals, gifts from farming the land, refraining from cooking meat with milk, and prayers.
G-d warns of sorcery and worshiping multiple gods and promises to bring the Israelites to the Holy Land.
The people of Israel unanimously want to do and hear all that G-d commands them.
Moses then ascends Mount Sinai for 40 days and 40 nights.
