At Congregation Lev Shalom, we celebrate all major Jewish Holidays and Festivals in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ. From our lively Simchat Torah Celebration to our Shavuot Learning session to our Sukkot celebration to our Chanukah Celebration to our Community Potluck Passover Seder, you can always count on us for a place to celebrate the tradition of the holidays.
Sukkot
Our week long Harvest Festival involving building sukkot (booths), shaking the lulav and etrog, as well as other merriment.
Simchat Torah
Ever celebrate just a little when you finish a book? We commemorate the ending of our annual Torah reading, and the beginning of the next cycle, each year with the Holiday Simchat Torah.
Hanukkah
Can you live in a highly secular society and hold on to your Jewish Identity? Hanukkah can help us rekindle the flames of Judaism within our hearts when we light our hanukkiah and munch on some awesome fried goods.
Tu B'Shivat
To Celebrate the New Year of the Trees, we hold an annual Seder.
Purim
Costumes, Hamantaschen, the Book of Esther. Oh, and groggers. We Love Purim!
Passover
The festival of unleavened bread with seders commemorating our freedom from slavery are a mix of joy (for the freedom) and sorrow (for the cost of that freedom).

Lag BaOmer
Whether we celebrate with a bonfire, a controlled campfire, a firepit, or with oven-made s'mores - this holiday is a day of joy and celebration in the middle of the counting of the Omer.
Lag BaOmer falls on the 16th of May in 2025 - check back here for more details as we get closer to this holiday.
Shavuot
The anniversary of the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai as well as the beginning of the wheat harvest and when the first fruits were traditionally brought to the temple.
